We aim to realize "Vision 2050: Japan Shines, Forest Circular Economy" promoted by the Platinum Forest Industry Initiative. We will disseminate ideas and initiatives to promote biomass chemistry, realize woody and lumbery communities, and encourage innovation in the forestry industry in order to fully utilize forest resources to decarbonize the economy, strengthen economic security, and create local communities.
NAIA, which develops the Nature Science cosmetics brand, has recently begun making donations to the ”Ishikawa Tree Cycle Support Fund” managed by the Ishikawa Forest Association to support the creation of a sustainable use cycle for Noto hiba (Noto hiba) resources. The company has recently begun making donations to the "Ate Support Type" fund managed by the Ishikawa Forest Association. This is an attempt to contribute to solving the problems of forestry in the Noto region by not only "using" wood resources for manufacturing products, but also getting involved in the "planting and cultivating" stage.
In this initiative, starting with "NAIA Aqua Cleansing Gel" and "NAIA Rice Bandage Cream" launched on October 8, a portion of the sales of related products using essential oil and distilled water of Noto Hiba will be donated to the fund. The fund will be used for activities aimed at raising seedlings and recycling forest resources. The company also intends to create opportunities to raise awareness of "ate forestry" and "satoyama and satoumi in Noto.

The background of the initiative is the increasing number of abandoned reforestation sites, which are becoming increasingly serious nationwide. A combination of factors, including low profitability in the forestry industry, difficulties in raising funds for afforestation, a decline in the willingness of forest owners to manage their forests, an increase in the number of forests with unknown owners, and a shortage of human resources, are causing the reforestation of forests after logging to stagnate. The Noto region is not unaffected by this issue.
NAIA develops and supplies products using Noto Hiba distilled water and essential oil extracted from Ate as the main raw materials. The company aims to establish a recycling cycle of "cut, use, plant, and grow" in order to pass on the wood resources of Ate and Noto Hiba to the next generation, and supports the reforestation of Ate and the creation of seedlings through donations.

A system in which companies that develop products using local blessings return a portion of their profits to the community will not only help realize a sustainable forestry industry, but also raise awareness of local resources. This is important for both resource recycling and the revitalization of local industry, and we look forward to the expansion of this initiative in the future.
